A reminder that the end of the season celebration – The Graham Brooks Aussie Pairs Competition and BBQ is fast approaching.

So far I have 9 ladies and 6 men signed up to play.  More would be great!

Huge thanks to everyone who played in the Stan Hardman league this season.
We played 12 matches and won 11 of them.
Sadly today was not our day and we were beaten 4 points to 3 in a fairly tight match against Fleet United Swans – which only slipped from our grasp in the last few ends.
But we still finish the season as Area 1 League Champions.

Special thanks to Graham Sampson who stepped in to sub for us during the course of the match today following Jenny’s eye injury.  Hope that heals quickly Jenny.

So Fleet United Swans will play Aldermaston in the Trophy final next Thursday afternoon.

Congratulations to Holly and Alex Hayward on the birth of their daughter Florence Elizabeth 27/8.

Petersfield BC will be our opponents in the final at Godalming and Farncombe, which is to take place on Sunday 13th September at 2pm.

Best wishes to Graham Sampson, Phil Wood and Danny Du Plessis when they take part in 2 wood triples final at 10 am on Sunday 23rd August.

In the Walker cup Hampshire ladies lost in the final to the reigning champions Devon. Lesley, Alice, Hazel and Margaret won this afternoon against Nottinghamshire and now play tomorrow at 9 o’clock against Warwickshire in the last 16. Unfortunately Danny lost his quarter final Para singles match against Leicestershire. (16/8)

Team were successful in their semi-final match against Old Basing but lost to a strong Basingstoke Town team in the final.

Victory in semi-final against Clanfield by 53-16. Final is on 13th September.

Best wishes to Danny Brown, who has reached the last 16 and next plays at Leamington on Sunday 16th August at 9.00am.
