Entry forms for this year’s club competitions will be available in the clubhouse from Thursday afternoon, 7th May.
Please familiarise yourself with the new rules for the Charlie Porter and Sylvia Stean competitions and also with the new Roving Jack competition – see below.
These rules will be on the noticeboard where the competition draws will be pinned soon after the entry closing date of Wednesday 20th May.
Please place your completed entry forms and cash/cheque payments in the box provided in the clubhouse.

Hello all and Happy New Year,
Please note that memberships are due each year on 15th January.
We are happy for you to pay in 2 instalments with half being paid now and the remainder by 1st April.
The annual membership subscription for this year, was increased at the AGM to £100 for full membership.
Junior and Social Members remain at £10.

The reason we ask for payment now is to assess how many members we will have, as we have affiliation fees to pay and league teams to enter.
We have a mixed triple league on Tuesday evenings in the 3 Counties Fellowship last season we fielded two teams in this league.
Another mixed triple league is played on Wednesday evenings. This is the Whitchurch & District League
Thursday afternoons we participate in the Stan Hardman League again this is a mixed triple league
Finally on Friday evenings we have The Basingstoke & District League which consists of two Rinks of men only
Having to find teams for these leagues is often not easy, with members playing in various competitions at the same time.
Members who participate in the 3 Counties, Whitchurch & B&D competitions should also play in these leagues as well, and always try to arrange games on non league nights.
Can I remind you all that if we have to withdraw from leagues then we would be excluded from participating in their competitions.
With this in mind I would be obliged if you could all respond to this email by 24th January 26 to let me know which if any league you will commit to play in this coming season.

Lost to eventual winners
Congratulations to Alice, Hazel, Lesley and Margaret who unfortunately lost 17-18 in the semi-final to Ireland, the eventual winners.

Atlantic Senior 4’s
Alice, Hazel, Lesley and Margaret are representing England at the Atlantic Senior 4’s tournament in Cyprus.
JUST CHAMPION!
Many congratulations to David Cooper who won the Three Counties Singles competition and also teamed up with Tracy to win the Aussie Pairs event.
There was also success in the Triples event, where Aki Atkins, Graham Sampson and David Atwell overcame a strong Petersfield triple 21-9.
Unfortunately we were unable to hold onto to a 14 shot lead after 4 ends in the President’s Cup final, eventually losing 29-30 against Petersfield.
