SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER

This is an all day charity event which is also a celebration of the end
of our outdoor season.
Please sign up below to take part. The draw for partners will happen
on the day, ideally it will be one lady and one man in each team.
Please arrive to register by 9:30 for a 10am start. The entrance fee is
£2 per person which will go to club funds.
There will be round robin matches in leagues during the
morning/early afternoon followed by semi finals and a final in the
afternoon. As well as a 3 rd place playoff.
Even if you don’t want to play, do come along to support the players
and stay for the BBQ (sign up below). The BBQ will cost around £10
per person for a burger and a sausage in rolls with onions and
coleslaw and a dessert or two!!
If you can donate a prize for the raffle, that will be greatly
appreciated.
All proceeds from the food and the raffle will be donated to what
was Graham’s favourite local charity “Abby’s Heroes” who support
children, teenagers and young adults (and their families) who have
been diagnosed with cancer and receive treatment at Southampton
Hospital.
Friends and families are also welcome to join us for the BBQ. Just
add numbers by your name on the list below and indicate any special
dietary requirements.

Congratulations to our team on their 36-33 victory against Cove. They now play at Banister Park on 2nd August, 10am start,against Littleton in the Semi-Final.

Congratulations to Jayne Christie following her semi final singles victory.

Commiserations to Richie Burgin, in the men’s singles and also to Lesley Johnson and Prue Pointer and Graham  Sampson and Mark Fyfield in the pairs, who were defeated in their games.

Congratulations to Jayne Christie and Richie Burgin who both won their county quarter finals at Banister Park. Jayne beat Rosie Webb from Meon Valley 21-15 and Richie beat Phil Drewball from Southsea Waverley 21-14. They will now play their semi finals next Monday night the 20th July, again at Banister Park.

Team are away to Rogate on Sunday 19th July at 10.30am. (See Members Area for team).

The ladies four of Lesley, Kate, Hazel and Margaret won a tricky game this morning and then this afternoon against New Milton picked up a 3 on the last end to force an extra end. On the extra end Lesley clipped the full length jack with her first wood, moving it about 4 to 5ft off centre and towards the ditch. Kate trailed the jack with her first wood into the ditch, her wood landing almost on top of it. New Milton conceded immediately. They are now in the final and also at Leamington. The men’s four of Shilly, Graham, Richie and Mark won this morning against Southampton sports centre which included Peter Ward and after going 7 nil down clawed back and managed to win. This afternoon they played Milton Park who this morning beat a strong team from Boscombe Cliff. This was a very one sided game which our team won quite easily, game conceded after 14 ends, so they are also through to the final and at Leamington.
