With one rink to finish the scores were tied against Lee-on-the-Solent, following a win by Lesley Johnson, Phil Wood, Graham Sampson and Margaret Holden by 3 shots. After the first 8 woods we were two close shots down but managed to draw within 6 inches to hold shot. Skip Dave Atwell then rested against our wood to hold first and third woods. Opposition skip then managed to nudge Dave’s bowl pushing the shot away but leaving Dave as shot. His final bowl fortunately missed the head as he ran through as did the opposition. Both rinks had been 5-0 down after the first three ends. The other players were Janet Williamson, Alice Atwell and JK.
